Fall Face to Face Groups

Hi Trinity,

Here at Trinity, we believe Jesus keeps forming us to be more like Him as we spend time face to face with God, our neighbors, and ourselves in Christ. Joining a small group is one of the ways we step into Christ’s loving formation together, and it’s time to think about how we all might like to participate.

Our sermon-based discussion groups will officially launch September 22 and meet for 9 weeks through November 22. Find spaces in our previously gathered groups here*. If you would like to form a new group with some others, let Nicole know. She’d love to discern with you if our Gather-Listen-Send Liturgy and Training Tips are something you'd enjoy facilitating.

(*Unfortunately, our Trinity App is experiencing a glitch, so you’ll need to sign up through the link here or through our website, trinitywenatchee.org, under Belong and Face-to-face Groups.)

And now for Hebrews 10: Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus…  let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings… for he who promised is faithful. And let us not give up meeting together, but encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Seeking to grow in Christ with you,

Nicole
Hannah and Perry Azevedo welcomed their fifth son, Caedmon Asher Azevedo, on Tuesday. Let's shower them (and their gang of boys) with meals as they adjust to being a family of seven.

Be Face to Face with Families in Need of Community

Safe Families Fundraiser

September 13 @ 7pm

You are invited to an evening of music with recording artists Phil and McKayla Stacey at the Town Toyota Center sponsored by Safe Family Ministries. All proceeds benefit local children and families.

Be Face-to-Face with our neighbors at
Wenatchee Rescue Mission

Thursday Nights 5:30-6:45pm

Several folks from Trinity have been helping out by serving dinner at Wenatchee Rescue Mission on Thursday evenings.  It would be great if we fill out this team and cover all the Thursdays in the month.  It works best when at least 2 people can cover a shift, but even one person is a help and three is even better.  You do not need to commit to every Thursday, but if you could serve at least once a month, that would be helpful. The time frame is from 5:30 to about 6:45.  If you have availability on Thursdays and would be interested in being part of this team, please text or call Charlie Atkinson: (509) 679-3625. Thank you, Trinity Church!

Smartphones and your kids: the stakes are high

A special episode of the Axis podcast explores the complexities of giving your kid a smartphone.

It’s probably the most common question we hear at Axis: What’s the right age to give your kid a smartphone?

And we’ve spent years coming up with different ways to approach the answer. Emphasizing that it’s not about when, but how. Encouraging parents to write things down and involve their kids in discussions about expectations. And advising parents to start with a “training phone” instead of winging it on an iPhone and a prayer.

But when you’re actually living out the advice you’re giving? That’s when things get real. Really fast.

In a special Smartphone Roundtable podcast, you’ll hear from our CEO and co-founder, David Eaton, share how he decided when it was “time” to get his kid a phone. You’ll also hear from a few other Axis parents who are in the thick of figuring out the what, the when, and the how when it comes to smartphones and their family members.

  • Jeff More has a QUEEN size Tuft & Needle foam mattress and frame (it folds) that is free and available to our community or friends of the community. Please contact him at 949-233-6678 if you are interested. You will probably need a pickup truck, or at least a very very large SUV to pick it up.
