Making it Easier to go Face to Face in 2025

Carson Leith

Dear Trinity,

Our mission is to help you go face to face with God, your neighbors and yourselves in Christ. Over the past several years as our church has grown, our need to communicate information, gather people, coordinate volunteers, and connect relationally has increased. Part of what this growth has revealed is that our current suite of digital tools used to facilitate those kinds of activities is not working so well.

We’ve heard from many of you — and experienced ourselves! — how difficult our current suite of digital tools can be to navigate. Things that should be simple to do are sometimes confusing! Like watching the latest sermon, changing your giving, joining a group, or figuring out what’s happening next in the church.

We’ve heard you, and that’s why this year, we’re transitioning our website, app and digital tools to ONE platform (instead of the piecemeal many) so that for anything you want to do at Trinity Church, you just have to go to ONE place.

We’re really looking forward to how this change will facilitate greater ease and connection for what matters most: going face to face in 2025.

First Steps: Transitioning our Giving

Over the next two months, we’ll be transitioning everything over from Planning Center to Subsplash.

And the first part of this transition will be our giving. We hope that at the beginning of this new year, you’d use this opportunity to consider what you’re giving to Trinity Church, and not just make it an administrative switch.

Animal Cracker Tithing

Last year, after I preached on tithing, many of us (including myself) were freed when we realized that tithing is not an amount you discern… it’s already a set amount because tithing literally means 10%. So it’s not as if you have to pray real hard about how much to give to your local church. God’s already revealed that! Read on if you’re nervous…

Naturally, this brings up fears and concerns…What if I can’t give 10%? What if I don’t have enough leftover? Which is why we all kept talking about the image of animal crackers months and months after I preached it. It’s funny what sticks. But it was a powerful image about how God is more than able to take care of us and provide.

Watch the Animal Cracker tithing sermon  (with the animal cracker story at 25:24)
